His professional practice is dedicated to act as an arbitrator in domestic and international disputes.
He is part of the list of arbitrators of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce.
Graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Law School (1987). He was awarded the “Monseñor Carlos Casanueva Opazo” for his outstanding academic performance. He was President of the Student Council at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Law School.
Since 1994 he has served as Professor of Commercial Law at the Law School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, United States. He obtained a Fulbright scholarship for these purposes.
In 1992 and 1993 he worked at the New York law firm "Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton".
He worked as a lawyer at Cariola & Cía. (today Cariola Diez Pérez-Cotapos), Enersis S.A. (today Enel Chile S.A.) and was General Counsel at AES Gener S.A. He was also the Principal at the Finis Terrae University in Santiago, and Manager of the Sustainable Development Division of Colbún S.A. He is Secretary General and Legal Director of Duoc UC.
